Heat goes to cold, so warm objects or surfaces transfer heat to cold ones. An Insulating material on top of the slab and under the Electric Radiant Floor Heat elements will slow the transfer of heat from the heating elements into the slab and effectively decrease the time it takes your floor warming system to warm your floor.
